State Emergency Service
About Us
The NSW SES is a volunteer-based emergency service leading the response to floods, storms and tsunamis across NSW, and supporting bushfires and search and rescue operations.
The Yass Unit is actively looking for new recruits. Have you got what it takes? Can you see yourself in orange?
No BUTs, just a genuine opportunity to give back to your community. No experience needed, and training is provided.
Young people are welcome too, with youth internships running again in 2027.
Come and see our crews today at the Field Days and get involved!
